Kalimas Marine Tourism
Kalimas Sea Port, located in Kalimas River (branch of Brantas River) has made Surabaya develop and known to the
whole world. In 18th century Kalimas has already the longest port. Hundreds factories and warehouses lined up along
the riverside. They say, even the Batavia/Jakarta Port has to admit the enormity of Kalimas port. Then Tanjung Perak Port
has yet been built. Governor General Dutch Indies, Van Imhoff, is one of the admirers of the beauty of Kalimas River and
the activities in the port. He wrote it down in one of his memoir.
